Planter's Punch

For our Super Bowl party, I wanted to make a New Orleans themed drink and my first choice drink was obviously the Hurricane.  The problem with making Hurricanes was that we didn't have all of the ingredients and I didn't feel like going to the liquor store. In my defense, it was really cold outside and it is kind of a long walk.   I did a quick Google search of New Orleans drinks and came up with this Planter's Punch.  Did you know that this drink was originally made in Charleston, my hometown?  No?  Me either. That just makes it so much better.  While my recipe is far more frilly looking than the original version it sure does pack a punch.

What you need:
1 ounce light rum (preferably Jamaican Rum)
2 ounces orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce grenadine
ice

Drink recipes are so easy.  Just combine all of the liquids and pour over ice.  Garnish with limes or pineapples.
