Super Bowl meal planning is always kind of hectic because you have to come up with the perfect game day meal/snacks/dessert combination for a crowd. The real problem is that Pinterest exists, giving you tons of options to choose from. We're huge football fans, Jamie can probably tell you with eerie detail the highlights of each Super Bowl for the last 25 years. Jamie's grandmother hosted an annual family Super Bowl party and she pulled out all of the stops. Since we are so far away from home I try to make it as festive as I can so he doesn't feel like he's missing out. We've done all of the traditional meals: from chili to pizza to wings. One year I made a regular sized batch of 3-2-1 Dip for just the two of us and that's all we ate for a couple of days. This year I honestly thought that I would make Bacon Barbecue Chicken Nachos for the game and some obnoxiously cute cupcake, like these Jack and Coke ones. That was before I got the flu. Thank you cold and flu season-- I totally appreciate the liquid diet that's been going on for far too long. Since I feel like crap, our Super Bowl game day menu consists of whatever take out Jamie orders and Lay's Potato Chips with Green Tabasco Sauce. Keeping it classy!
I know people who eat their Lay's Potato chips with ketchup and I get it, it's like dipping a fry in ketchup, but I've never really been a big fan. I like Green Tabasco sauce because it gives the chips a little spicy kick!
What you need:
1 bag of Lay's Original Potato chips (or lightly salted)
1 bottle of Green Tabasco Sauce
What you do:
1. Open the bag of chips.
2. Shake some Tabasco sauce on the chip you've selected.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 multiple times because you can't just eat one Lay's chip.
Happy Super Bowl Weekend and Go Ravens!
